Free webinar for members only. Building a library of diverse children's literature - with Ping Tian. We know that it is important to introduce student readers to a diverse and inclusive range of literature. Join us in conversation with Ping Tian, who recently collaborated with the State Library of NSW, library staff across NSW and project partner Helen Caple (UNSW) to develop a diverse picture book reading list. She shares examples of quality texts that represent and celebrate a diversity of identities and experiences and explains how the resource was created. This is also an opportunity for teachers to share their selections of diverse and inclusive literature and why they use them. Come with your suggestions of favourite texts and get some tips from Ping and your peers. Microphones will stay on!
