This series of teaching writing for purpose (an exploration of genre) staff meeting professional learning sessions guides school leaders in how to explicitly teach writing for purpose in the primary classroom, exploring a range of genres and text types and investigating the move from modelled, to shared to independent writing.
Each of the 6 staff meetings has a different focus, and includes the specific PETAA resources (e.g. a conference video presentation, or PETAA Paper) and activities for Instructional Leaders, Curriculum Leaders, Leader of Pedagogy or School Leaders to guide their staff through.
