Teaching with Agility
Versatile English Literacy Teaching
All students. Future- ready
Teaching With Agility is a two-day integrated professional learning intensive that will explore how to meet every student where they are in their development, to teach the way each individual student learns, and to infuse their learning with future skills. This program will be grounded firmly within the Australian Curriculum: English context. We will explore from the outset the opportunities for teachers to confidently develop the 21st century skills of creativity, communication, collaboration and critical thinking, thinking laterally, being agile and innovative when teaching aspects of Language, Literacy and Literature.
In order to teach more effectively teachers need to be mentally, physically and emotionally equipped.
Teaching With Agility is designed to give not just practical classroom strategies and well-being strategies, but critical behaviours that can be passed on to students: taking calculated and informed risks, thinking creatively and laterally, planning flexibly (especially when it comes to differentiation and integration).
We will examine the innovative actions taken by some schools in this space.
