An ONLINE workshop for all , presented and moderated by Jennifer Asha.
Using rich literature to teach writing, with quality texts as a springboard for explicit grammar instruction.
What makes a quality text a good resource for teaching sentence level grammar?
The delivery of this course emphasizes the application of grammar knowledge to classroom activities and classroom talk. It aims to focus on teacher modeling of metalanguage, helping teachers to adjust adult knowledge of grammatical terms and definitions to classroom appropriate metalanguage use and the use of rich texts to show how authors use in grammatical choices to meet the purpose of their texts.
The course is aimed at beginning and experienced teachers who would like to hone their grammar knowledge and put their knowledge into practice more effectively.
