Exploring inclusive picture books — with Scott Stuart

Scott Stuart wrote and illustrated the award-winning My Shadow is Pink, a rhyming story about gender identity, self-acceptance, equality and diversity. His follow-up book, My Shadow is Purple, takes those themes and messages and extends them beyond the gender binary. 

Join us in conversation with Scott as we talk about the process of creating these two important books, the power of affirming identity through books and stories, and explore ways that teachers could use these two books in the classroom.
